Aertssen Machinery Services Opens New Facility in Ras Laffan, Qatar

We officially moved from Doha to our brand-new facility in the West Support Area of Ras Laffan, a purpose-built site that reflects our Aertssen style. The new facility follows the well-known Aertssen look, with the same bricks used at our Middle East office in Abu Dhabi and our headquarters in Stabroek, Belgium. It is more than just a workplace; it is a home base that represents who we are and how we work.

To celebrate the opening, AMS welcomed clients and partners for a tour of the facility, followed by a reception and seated lunch. During the event, CEO Yves Aertssen shared the story of the Group and where the company stands today. The moment was also special for him personally, as Ras Laffan was the location of his first project in the Middle East after graduation.

Tony Nuyts, Business Unit Manager for the Middle East, spoke about the journey of AMS in the region and shared his pride in reaching this milestone.

The event was also attended by H.E. Eugène Crijns, Ambassador of Belgium to Qatar, who shared kind words during the ceremony.

After the official handover of the key and ribbon cutting, the celebration continued in the evening with the AMS Qatar team. Colleagues were thanked for their dedication, and 10-year service awards were presented. The day ended with a great dinner and a joyful celebration together.
